On the back of extremely shocking trade news the Dallas Mavericks will now look to adjust to life without Luka Doncic permanently after news of a 3 team trade broke last night sending the MVP to the Lakers. Dallas will now solely rely on Kyrie Irving who has done well in returns to Cleveland in the past. Despite leaning Cavs to cover the spread i will not be taking a side and rather targeting Darius Garland’s assist prop. He has consistently eclipsed this number this season with the help of the Leagues top offense. The Cavs scored 134 the last time out against Dallas and i expect a similar output tonight which should allow Garland plenty of opportunity to beat this number. He has went over this number in 7 of his last 9 games and only failed 4 times in his last 20. Hes also torched the Mavs each of his last 2 games including 9 assists in the last meeting. Back Garland to go over 6.5 assists against a defense that has been struggling of late as they have allowed 8.5 assists per game to point guards this season. The number is just too good to pass up for this matchup.
