Indiana Pacers vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Thunder vs Pacers Game 2
Sunday, June 8 | Paycom Center | NBA Finals Game 2
The 2025 NBA Finals continue tonight in Oklahoma City, where the Thunder look to regroup after a shocking 111–110 loss in Game 1. Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton delivered the dagger a deep step-back three with 0.3 seconds left to steal home-court advantage and momentum.
Despite the loss, Oklahoma City stayed true to its defensive identity. The Thunder forced 24 turnovers, including 14 steals, and generated 11 fast break points, while outscoring the Pacers 46–34 in the paint. They also went 21-for-24 at the line (88%) and took 16 more shots than Indiana.
But none of it mattered because of two massive gaps shooting and rebounding. Indiana buried 18 threes on 46% shooting, compared to OKC’s 11 makes from deep a 21-point gap from beyond the arc. And the Pacers, the worst offensive rebounding team in the postseason, won the glass 56–39, including a 13–10 edge on the offensive boards. Combine that with 24 assists and confident shot-making down the stretch, and Indiana proved they can win a physical, high-pressure road game.
Oklahoma City will make adjustments, but Indiana’s ability to withstand pressure, own the glass, and score efficiently gives them every reason to believe they can do it again.
Best Bet: Pacers +10.5
We don’t expect a drastically different outcome in Game 2 outside of maybe who hits the final shot. Indiana matched OKC’s physicality, won key battles on the boards, and shot the ball with confidence. If anything, cleaning up a few of those turnovers makes them even more dangerous. This should be another close contest, and the double-digit spread is simply too generous. Back the Pacers to cover again
